Dream Garden Friendship Card

Last week my husband and I ate at the Golden Wok. We were seated right by a painting of a silhouette of an oriental women with bold streaks of color begind her. It inspired the card below.

This was a really quick and easy card. The base layer was made of Pretty In Pink cardstock cut 5 1/2"X 8 1/2" and folded in half. 1/4" of vertical side of the card front was cut off and then punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. The second layer was made of a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"piece of Basic Black card stock, which was also punched on the right side with the border punch. The piece was centered on the front panel and adhered. The third layer was made from a 3"x 3" piece of Whisper Whitecardstock, which was stamped with the Giesha girl stamp from theDream Gardens stamp set using VersaMark and black ink and then clear embossed. Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue inks were sponged across the 3" x3" square. This was then glued onto the black layer. A piece ofBasic Black card stock was cut 5 1/2" x 1 " and punched with the above border punch. This piece was glued to the right inside panel on the outer edge

I hope this makes sense, but if it doesn't, just e-mail me.

  1. What a beautiful card! I love your choice of colors and stamping the lady over a blended background is so soft. The blog looks wonderful, and I can't wait to see those scrapbook pages (although Faithbooking can be so personal ...).
