Dream Garden Friendship Card

Last week my husband and I ate at the Golden Wok. We were seated right by a painting of a silhouette of an oriental women with bold streaks of color begind her. It inspired the card below.

This was a really quick and easy card. The base layer was made of Pretty In Pink cardstock cut 5 1/2"X 8 1/2" and folded in half. 1/4" of vertical side of the card front was cut off and then punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. The second layer was made of a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"piece of Basic Black card stock, which was also punched on the right side with the border punch. The piece was centered on the front panel and adhered. The third layer was made from a 3"x 3" piece of Whisper Whitecardstock, which was stamped with the Giesha girl stamp from theDream Gardens stamp set using VersaMark and black ink and then clear embossed. Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue inks were sponged across the 3" x3" square. This was then glued onto the black layer. A piece ofBasic Black card stock was cut 5 1/2" x 1 " and punched with the above border punch. This piece was glued to the right inside panel on the outer edge

I hope this makes sense, but if it doesn't, just e-mail me.

Inside of Valentines Gift Card Holder

Here is the inside of the gift card holder that I posted yesterday.

I cut two 4"x 4" squares in RealRed card stock for the two square Crumb Cake sections and adhered them. I cut a third 4" x4" square and cut it in half on the diagonal. I attached one of these triangles to the botton of the top red square using sticky tape. The piece of crumcake that was left from making the base was cut to form a strip on the bottom red section and was stamped with the Valentine Sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments. A second piece of Crumb Cake was cut to fit across the top of the gift card pocket, punched with the Scalloped Trim Border punch and adhered. Finally, hearts were punched with the Heart to Heart Punch and glued to the sides and one next to the sentiment.

I am going to make another one of these, but try to design it for my younger grandchildren.Wish me luck.

Have a great day full of God's blessings!
